David Laing has 30 years’ experience in the UK’s music and arts sector, including several years as Managing Director of live venues at MAMA Group and ten years as Head of Arts, Music & Cultural Venues at Glasgow Life. He has extensive commercial and operational experience from grassroots to larger-scale venues across the UK, and most recently led a portfolio of arts venues and festivals including Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Tramway, and Celtic Connections. David also led the development of cultural strategy for Glasgow, oversaw a number of grassroots music and arts funding initiatives, and has represented and advocated for the arts sector at local, national, and international levels.
